Getting started
Add a transaction
Tap the add button, enter an amount with the built-in calculator keypad, pick a category and account, and save.
Set up a recurring bill
Open Manage → Fixed & recurring → Add. Each rule forecasts its future due dates and reminders automatically.
Track an asset
Add an asset with its value, attach photos or documents, and update its value over time to see the history graph.
Turn on reminders
Allow notifications when prompted so Zynx can remind you about bills, tasks, and the monthly budget review.
Frequently asked questions
Where is my data stored, and can you see it?
All your data is stored locally on your iPhone. Zynx has no servers and no account system, so we cannot see, access, or recover your data. This is by design, for your privacy.
How do I back up or move to a new phone?
Use the backup export feature to save a backup file (to Files or iCloud Drive, for example), then restore it on your new device. We recommend exporting backups regularly, since data lives only on your device.
My photos or documents disappeared after an app update.
This was fixed in a recent version — please make sure you're on the latest update. Files added in very old versions whose system cache was cleared may need to be re-added. Going forward, attachments are stored durably and survive updates.
My notifications aren't appearing.
Open iOS Settings → Zynx → Notifications and make sure notifications (and sounds) are allowed. Also confirm Focus/Do Not Disturb isn't silencing them. Reminders are scheduled on your device, so they work fully offline.
How do I restore my Zynx Pro purchase?
Open the Pro/paywall screen in the app and tap “Restore purchases.” As long as you're signed in with the same Apple ID used to buy, your subscription will be restored.
How do I cancel my subscription?
Go to Settings → [your Apple ID] → Subscriptions on your iPhone, select Zynx, and cancel. You'll keep Pro until the end of the current billing period.
Do you support my language and currency?
Zynx supports English, Spanish, Indonesian, Malay, Simplified Chinese, and Traditional Chinese, plus multi-currency tracking. Change them in Settings.
How do I delete all my data?
Delete records individually in the app, or remove all data at once by deleting the Zynx app from your device. Remember to export a backup first if you want to keep it.
Troubleshooting
- App feels out of date or a fix is missing: update to the latest version from the App Store.
- Face ID lock not prompting: enable it in Settings inside Zynx, and ensure Face ID is set up and permitted for Zynx in iOS Settings.
- A number looks wrong: check the transaction's date, account, and currency. Asset “current value” reflects the most recent value on or before today.
